Weep Vents Are The Perfect Doorway For Mice To Get Into Your Home Left Unchecked Weep Holes = A House Full Of Mice

1. Airflow Is Critical, Don't Mess With It!

Air is saturated with dust and debris, just look at this automobile air filter completely clogged

Home owners should avoid stuffing pads, mesh and tight screens in weep holes nor install covers with tiny holes. See What to put in weep holes.

With such little atmospheric pressure on your wall, any obstruction to the inner wall defeats the purpose of your airflow and what little air passage that exists will quickly become caked and clogged with debris (including small airborne particulate as well as leaves and more). Don’t do it. Restriction leads to moisture build up in the walls and exacerbates problems such as mold, rot possibly leading to home air quality issues and enticing insect infestation in the inner walls.

2. Mice Cannot Pull Out Nor Chew Through!

Spring loaded wings firmly hold Rid-O-Mice in place so mice cannot remove. (Don’t be deceived by imitation covers using cheapened steel that fails. How to tell the difference: ours are curved theirs are flat steel) The steel cannot be chewed, so mice give up pretty quick. Mice chew through plastic all the time. Plastic covers fail.

3. No Weep Hole Is Too Challenging

Not all weep holes are perfectly shaped. These covers fit non uniform holes and you can easily trim them to fit shorter or longer weep holes.

Fits Weep Holes 5/16ths to 1 Inch Wide.

Some Honest Reviews of Rid-O-Mice Weep Hole Covers

It seems like a couple of times each year I was battling with the odd mouse. I set traps along the outside walls and had to resort to poison where I noticed their beautiful brown pellets usually in the furnace room but also under our dishwasher. That seemed to work temporarily. A friend of mine in the pest control business told me about Rid-O-Mice so I asked him to come by and take care of it. Haven’t had any issues since.

We had elongated weep holes… meaning the weepholes extended above and below the actual brick. We were able to purchase some spare stainless inserts and cut them to fill in the gaps created by the abnormal height of the weep holes. Not all were like this but some were and it worked perfect!! Last year we bought a 30 year old home and our home inspector pointed out the house had signs of mice. Just the thought of that didn’t appeal to us but everything else about the house was right for us. Fortunately our home inspector gave us great information on how we could prevent the mice from getting in. That is when we met Rid-O-Mice who helped us protect our largest investment.
